Review OF 2016 Movies Calendar
2016 Rocked With Movies!!!
I cannot picture a better way to spend a Saturday afternoon other than sit in front of a monitor watching movies, well I could infiltrate ISIS and en
d the drug chain in Columbia, sadly we all know that is not going to happen, so movies it is and what an awesome option.
This year has seen lots of production hit the market, mostly much anticipated movies…you know, the kind where you already know all about it before it airs. In this light I could think of no better way to end the year than share…
The Best 5 movies I saw 2016
Just to keep things in
teresting I will not be adding any of the top grossing movies…yup sorry guys, this one is for those movies you would probably not conside
r watching but still turned out great.
Kapoor and Sons:
To all my non hindi-movies watching folks, you just got served. A gripping compelling story on family feuds that left me hungry for more of Alia Bhatt, other cast include Sidharth Malhotra, Fawad Khan and the quirky Rishi Kapoor.
The performances would leave you glued as the plot slowly but surely unfolds…watch out for the grandpa on wheels, the movie starts and end with him.
The Silver linings Playbook:
One day at work after finding out from an article online that Tom Cruise never won an Oscar, I decided to know those who had, on reaching the best actress category I see that Jenifer Lawrence has one for the forenamed reference, like every Jlaw fan I decided to check it out, and wow…I found it funny, interesting and as the curtains closed, my admiration for her widened.
Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper lend hands to deliver a brilliant work, all I asked myself was…”Where was I in 2012?”
I very much appreciate David O. Russell for a lovely adaptation.
Kubo and the two Strings:
“If you must blink, do it now. Pay careful attention to everything you see and hear, no matter how unusual it may seem. And please be warned, if you fidget, if you look away, if you forget any part of what I tell you, even for an instant, then our hero will surely perish.”
I did exactly as told…maybe not exactly, had to blink a couple times…relatively human after all.
This magical adventure is a family treat, easily relatable for everyone and carries a soothing edge to it. The things we do for the ones we love especially the extreme things.
Charlize Theron voices a role as a monkey and Mathew McConaughey a bug, I could argue a better ending though, still overall, it is a dope movie.
The Nice Guys:
I literally could not stop laughing.
Russell Crowe muscle for hire and Ryan Gosling a private eye that cannot smell, what a combination.
I have a comprehensive list of actors, who upon seeing as cast in a movie I am nearly guaranteed of a good watch. This movie gave me one more, say hello to…Angourie Rice (pronounced ang-OW-ree ; then rice like the meal).
The 15 year old Australian did more than hold her own, shining brightly as the rest of the Ensemble. I certainly look forward to more of her on screen.
This is definitely an Ideal movie to get together with friends to see…preferably 16+ to avoid certain explanations for some scenes, I am sure you copy.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani:
Here’s the story here, I have a site where I download movies, I decide to see a Bollywood movie, on previewing all the hindi movies there I find that few had really cool resolutions, on searching I find the aforementioned movie, seeing Ranbir Kappor (wake up sid)and Deepika Padukone(soon to be costar in the new XXX: triple X ) was definitely a boost and I have to say they did not disappoint.
All about the transitioning of life surrounding friends and the sacrifices made for growth, this is definitely a fun watch for all and sundry.
There you have it, my 2016 Movies Review.
Look forward to more informative reviews, no need to worry, I’ll watch the movies for you and point you in the right direction.
